Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad Park is deeply rooted in its association with Chandrashekhar Azad’s martyrdom, making it a powerful symbol of India’s fight for freedom and a historically important site.

Established in 1870 as Alfred Park, it was renamed Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad Park after the revolutionary’s martyrdom there in 1931. A key site in India’s independence struggle, it also houses the Allahabad Museum and Public Library.
